Terms of Service — Gold Medal: Mathematics

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Noble Bloom Ltd. (“Noble Bloom,” “we,” “us”), a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada, governing your use of the Gold Medal: Mathematics mobile and tablet application (the “App”). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms.

1. The App

Gold Medal: Mathematics is a study tool for competition mathematics: a bank of competition problems, adaptive practice, worked solutions, and optional AI-assisted grading of handwritten work. The App is distributed only through the Apple App Store and Google Play and is offered in selected countries.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control, for your own study and non-commercial use. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, scrape, or bulk-extract the App’s content (including problem collections, solutions, and feedback), reverse engineer the App except where the law allows it despite this term, or use the App to build a competing dataset or service.

3. Eligibility and minors

The App is intended for students preparing for mathematics competitions. If you are a minor in the place where you live, you may use the App only if a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms for you. Users who indicate they are under 13 receive a restricted experience described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Purchases and subscriptions

The App is sold at a one-time up-front price by Apple or Google. Optional in-app purchases are offered inside the App: Gold Medal Pro auto-renewing subscriptions (yearly or monthly) and one-time grading credits.
Auto-renewal. Pro subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
Billing. All payments, renewals, and refunds are processed by Apple or Google under their terms. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Refund requests must be made through the store you purchased from; we do not issue refunds directly.
Entitlements. Purchases are verified with the store before features unlock. A grading credit is consumed when a grading request completes; if grading fails, the credit is returned.
Prices may change; changes never apply retroactively to a period you have already paid for.

5. AI grading

AI grading produces an automated, educational assessment of your written work on a competition-style scale. It is feedback, not an official score: it may be incomplete or wrong, and no grade from the App represents the judgment of any competition body. Grading requires your explicit consent before your work is transmitted, is processed transiently as described in the Privacy Policy, and is subject to fair-use limits designed to keep the service available to everyone.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: abuse, overload, or interfere with the App or its servers; attempt to bypass technical or purchase controls; submit content that is unlawful or that is not your own mathematical work for grading; or use automated means to access the service outside the App.

7. Content and intellectual property

The App, including its software, design, original solutions, explanations, and feedback, is owned by Noble Bloom and protected by law. Competition problem statements are included with attribution to their source competitions as historical mathematical facts; the competitions and their organizers do not sponsor or endorse the App. You retain any rights in the work you submit for grading; you grant us the limited right to process it transiently to produce your feedback, as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content, solution, or AI-generated feedback is correct or complete. The App is a study aid; it does not guarantee any competition result.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Noble Bloom will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to the App. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the App is limited to the greater of CAD $50 and the amounts you paid for the App and in-app purchases in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you; nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and consumers benefit from any mandatory protections of their local law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms or harms the service or other users. Sections 7–12 and 14 survive termination.

11. Changes

We may update the App and these Terms. If we make material changes to the Terms, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide notice in the App. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia, Canada, unless the mandatory consumer-protection law of your place of residence provides otherwise.

13. Apple and Google terms

Your use of the App must also comply with the Apple Media Services Terms (including the standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement) or the Google Play Terms of Service, as applicable. Apple and Google are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with the right to enforce them, and are not responsible for the App, its content, or support.

14. General

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining Terms remain in full force and effect.
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any store terms referenced in Section 13, are the entire agreement between you and Noble Bloom about the App and supersede any prior understandings.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your license. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, or by operation of law.
